Peter J Maldjian
Peter J Maldjian is a Certified Public Accountant and Registered Investment Advisor with over twenty five years of diversified experience in financial and tax matters. Mr. Maldjian is one of the founding partners of the firm, which is located in Wall (Manasquan) New Jersey. Peter has an extensive tax background, he is proficient in the use of trusts to preserve and protect assets, accumulate wealth, and minimize taxes. Mr. Maldjian renders services for family owned businesses, trusts, estates, foundations and Individuals.
Prior to establishing his firm, he managed the tax department for the accounting firm of Rudolf Cinnamon & Calafato now J. H. Cohn. Peter was a field examiner with the Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service in Newark, New Jersey. He served on the executive board of the New Jersey Society of CPA's. He is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; he has served on the tax committee.
Outside of his professional life, Peter is married with five children. In the summer months he can be found on the beach in Spring Lake enjoying the beach with family and friends.
Laura A Citta
Laura Citta has years of experience in the accounting industry, she learned the trade from her father who is a practicing CPA. Laura joined the firm in 1997, shortly after completing her degree in Accounting from Richard Stockton College.
In 2001, Laura joined Peter as a partner in the firm, bringing her unique experiences and thorough knowledge of business accounting and taxation. She is well versed in entity choices and business formation. Laura has spearheaded efforts to completely automate all accounting systems in a paperless environment. She is knowledgeable in accounting software and Financial Statement reporting. Laura has led company efforts to make tax projecting and forecasting an integral part of the business and individual planning. Laura works with various tax agencies to solve discrepancies for business owners and individuals.
Laura reviews all of the business tax returns for hundreds of corporate clients, throughout the entire east coast.
Laura Mastoridis, a Certified Public Accountant, graduated from Georgian Court University with a BS in Accounting. Laura began her career at a regional CPA firm specializing in business valuations and forensic accounting. She has published articles on topics such as Tax Issues in Divorce, Economic Damages and Methods of Valuations. Laura joined our firm in January 2014.
Ms. Mastoridis has extensive knowledge of GAAP Financial Statements. In addition to her work with Business Valuations, Laura has years of experience in construction accounting. She is well versed in the various accounting methods including: project budgets, cost analysis and percentage of completion.
Laura also handles tax examinations, representing clients before tax jurisdictions. She has experience with the examination division, appeals conferences and tax court protests. Outside her professional life she enjoys spending time with her family . Laura is a long time resident of the Jersey Shore, she is married and has two sons.
Lori A McGonigle
Lori McGonigle, a Certified Public Accountant, obtained a BS in Accounting from Montclair State University. Lori passed her CPA exam the year she graduated from college, and accepted a position at Price Waterhouse LLP. There Lori conducted audits and prepared income tax returns for a wide variety of clients. Through her years at Price Waterhouse, she specialized in real estate limited partnerships and Non-Profit accounting. While Lori took time off to raise her four children.
Ms. McGonigle returned to public accounting in 2008. Lori is a member of our Business Consultant Team, she is also the Director of our Non-Profit Division there she assists start-up not-for-profit organizations through incorporation and registration with the State Charities Bureau and obtaining tax exempt status under 501(c)(3) of the U.S. tax code.
Lori also assists the not-for-profit organizations in ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, such as the preparation of income tax returns, payroll tax returns, as well as, financial statements and reports
Lori lives in Matawan with her husband, Pete and four children. During the summer she enjoys spending time with her family, living at their beach house at the Jersey Shore.
Gay joined our organization in 2011 as a member of our small business development team.
Prior to our association, Ms. Ford was the managing partner of a local business. She returned to public accounting and joined our organization. Gay is a member of our Business Consultant Team; she assists our clients in improving their business performance. She strives to help them better their business systems, and operational processes. It is her belief that performance measurement techniques, and proper documentation of policies and systems, could provide the basis for continuous improvement, increased profits and better cash flows.
Gay is also responsible for maintaining records and systems for the filing of various employment tax returns for the clients of the accounting firm. She is also responsible for compliance with tax regulations and filing of sales and use tax returns, cosmetic tax returns and the recently enacted ambulatory tax imposed upon medical operation facilities throughout the State of New Jersey
Gay is a long time Jersey Shore resident and continues to provided floral and bridal services for weddings and other festive occasions throughout the shore area.
Patricia M Maldjian
Patricia M. Maldjian is a graduate of Biscayne College, Miami Florida, she holds a BS in Sports Administration. She received her Master Degree, Magna Cum Laude, from The College of New Jersey.
Patty returned to the work-force here at Maldjian & Citta, where she manages the estate trust and administration, financial services and corporate registrations. Patricia brings her organizational skills to the office, where she is proficient in business services support.
Patty enjoys the summers at the beach; she is an avid runner and two time winner of the Manasquan Turkey Trot, five mile road race. She also served on the Spring Lake 5 race committee and created the concept of the Spring Lake Kids Race.
SAMANTHA A. MANSON
Sam graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University in May of 2016. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Accounting. Upon the completion of her advanced degree, she will be a CPA candidate. At our firm, Sam prepares income tax returns for a wide variety of clients. She is proficient in computers and is responsible for the firms data conversion and magnetic media storage processes.
Sam is a member of our Business Consultant Team. She assists our clients in improving their business performance. She strives to help them better their business systems, and operational processes.
Sam is a long time resident of the Jersey Shore and an avid soccer player. She is a former state cup champion and Division I athlete in both soccer and track.
Bart cecere, CPA
Bart Cecere, a Certified Public Accountant, joined our organization in 2017. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BS in Accounting. Bart spent 6 years on the Audit staff of Ernst & Ernst, now known as Ernst & Young. He spent 5 years in private accounting as the Assistant Treasurer of Gulf & Western, a former Fortune 500 Company. Bart also spent 5 years as a professor of Accounting at Rutgers University. He has many years of experience servicing family owned businesses. He is proficient in tax preparation with a concentration in Corporate Tax.
For several years, Bart operated his accounting and tax practice in Downtown Manasquan. Bart currently resides in Brick Township with his wife, Nancy and their 3 cats. Outside of the office, Bart enjoys playing the piano, golfing, walking the beach, novels, and cigars.
